Heritage and Bear-itage.
The significance of the Bear and Raven, back-to-back and standing-fast, was not just known to the ancients, these Bear and Raven Stones in Cumberland were even guarded by the Hardknott Pass Roman Fort, built between 120 and 138 AD.
In profile, the bear faces the left - asserting the prevalence of Celtic noble strength; and the raven faces the right - asserting that we will survive all adversity, we will prevail!
